Server/Bartender

Rooster’s Kitchen is looking for experienced restaurant and bar servers with great attitudes, exceptional work ethics, and interesting personalities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tables with special attention to sanitation and order
  • Greet tables with in a warm and inviting manner
  • Present menus and help customers select food/beverages
  • Take/serve orders and answer questions or make recommendations for other products
  • Pre-Buss and Buss tables to ensure the restaurant is always presentable
  • Own a section and ensure it is always tended to
  • Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
  • Maintain high levels of knowledge of all food and beverages served
  • Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
  • Issue bills and accept payment

Requirements

  • Proven guest service experience
  • Customer-oriented approach and patience
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Hands on experience in cash and payment handling
  • Experience with a P.O.S. system
  • Excellent people skills
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Ability to work on your feet for several hours
  • Ability to lift at least 25lbs.
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Valid Indiana liquor license and Alcohol Service Training
  • Reliable means of transportation to ensure shift punctuality

Cook

Rooster’s Kitchen is looking for a professional line cook with a good attitude and exceptional work ethic to prepare food to the Rooster’s Specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepping for service (i.e. Portioning, Pre-Prepping Recipes, butchering and slicing, etc.)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Work with the service team to ensure accurate orders
  • Clean up station paying close attention to HACCP and Sanitation guidelines
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements

  • Proven cooking experience
  • Customer-oriented approach and patience
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Ability to read kitchen tickets and orders
